With a 48-inch-wide frame, the SVL50x is Kubota’s most compact track loader to date. It is set to hit dealerships in the first quarter of 2025.
Kubota Tractor Corporation has officially introduced the SVL50x compact track loader at Equip Exposition, marking the company’s entry into the smallest cabbed compact track loader segment on the market.
With a 48-inch-wide frame, the SVL50x takes the title of the most compact track loader in Kubota’s range and will be available through dealerships starting in the first quarter of 2025.
“As the trend of building more homes on smaller plots of land continues, the space between lots becomes increasingly limited, and Kubota is addressing the need for a narrow, cabbed track loader for professionals in construction and landscaping,” explained Jerry Corder, Kubota’s product manager for construction equipment. “The SVL50x offers operators a compact yet fully-featured machine, some features of which are new to the Kubota compact track loader lineup.”
The SVL50x will be available in four different configurations, from an open ROPS station to a deluxe cab. Powered by a 49.6 horsepower (SAE J1995 gross) Kubota diesel engine, this model delivers a working range with a rated operating capacity of 1,176 pounds at 35 percent of tipping load, a bucket breakout force of 4,900 pounds, and a hinge pin height of 101.6 inches.
Designed for jobsites that require a tracked machine capable of navigating tight spaces and confined areas, the SVL50x is just 48 inches wide, with a height of 76.5 inches and a length of 92.8 inches. It has an operating weight of 5,620 pounds.
The “x” in SVL50x stands for “extra,” highlighting the range of added features incorporated into this new model.
Like the larger SVL75-3 compact track loader, the SVL50x comes equipped with a one-piece sealed cab that protects the operator from dirt, dust, rain, and debris, while ensuring a quieter work environment.
The SVL50x also features a 7-inch color LCD touch panel as standard, similar to the SVL75-3.
This allows operators to easily access a variety of functions and critical data, such as battery charge, hydraulic oil and coolant temperature, auxiliary mode, fuel level, and it also serves as the display for the standard rear-view camera.
The SVL50x introduces several new technologies to Kubota’s compact track loader lineup, including an anti-stall system and an auto-idling function that conserves fuel by reducing engine RPM when high engine speed is unnecessary and the control levers remain in neutral for more than four seconds. It also features a creep mode that slows the machine to a crawl when operating attachments like a trencher or snowplow, as well as an undercarriage suspension system where the mid-rollers are suspended using torsion axles.
Additionally, Kubota’s Shockless Ride (KSR) system will be available on the SVL50x, providing enhanced shock absorption when handling heavy loads. The SVL50x compact track loader is scheduled to be available at select Kubota dealers starting in the first quarter of 2025.
