SAKAI’s move to transfer SV204 soil compactor production from Japan to Georgia marks a significant milestone.
SAKAI America has officially announced plans to shift the manufacturing of its popular 54-inch soil compactor to North America. Previously, this model was the last in the SAKAI lineup to be built in Japan and shipped to the U.S. Now, the SV204 will roll off the production line at SAKAI’s facility in Adairsville, Georgia.
This move reflects a broader shift worth noting. With the SV204 now made domestically, every soil compactor sold throughout North America will be produced on American soil. Amid today’s unpredictable global climate, this step highlights SAKAI’s ongoing investment in the U.S. market and its unwavering commitment to serving its customers here.
“This is a significant milestone that will have a direct and positive impact on our dealers and customers throughout the United States and Canada,” said Brad Belvin, Manager of Sales and Marketing at SAKAI America. “By assembling the SV204 in Adairsville, we’ll be able to respond more quickly to market needs, streamline our logistics processes, and strengthen collaboration with our dealer network to enhance equipment availability and customer support.”
Kevin McClain, Vice President of Operations at SAKAI America, emphasized, “We are always assessing ways to optimize our manufacturing operations and are focused on expanding domestic assembly wherever feasible, including sourcing more components locally. Launching SV204 production in Adairsville is a strong testament to the talent and dedication of our Georgia team and marks a major stride toward building a more localized and resilient supply chain.”
By increasing the number of soil compactors manufactured in the U.S., SAKAI America reinforces its commitment to delivering high-quality compaction equipment while boosting operational strength within the North American market.
